It’s all Science at Scienceworks!

On the road again. This time, we had the mini-bus to take us to Scienceworks, down at Williamstown.

But first we had to have lunch… this time at the Steam Packet Hotel in Williamstown. The dining was excellent, the meals were great, and we thoroughly enjoyed being there.

After lunch, we had a short ride to Scienceworks, and the Pumping Station. Scienceworks was full of science type experiments to do. It also housed CSIRAC, a computer developed in the early 1950’s. We then went to the Planetarium which is part of Scienceworks. The chairs in there laid back and we got fantastic views of very old stars and planets.

After that we had a stroll round the Pumping Station, the engineering in there was something to see, from last century, it being built in 1897.

Then, on the bus, to ride home and we arrived back in Ballarat around 6.30pm. A great day for everyone.
