The Public Transport System is a pleasure to use…
This sounds a bit funny, get the train from Ballarat to Ararat, then a Public Transport bus to Stawell, and then a final bus from Stawell to Hall’s Gap. Then we had lunch and then a very quick look around Hall’s Gap. It was Kings Birthday weekend and there many people around and lots of things to look at. Later that afternoon, we got the public transport system to get home.
Fifteen members of the Club took this adventure, which was even more enjoyable because the weather was so good at Hall’s Gap after leaving the drizzle and fog in Ballarat. Quite a long day out, but we all had a great time.
The bus driver on the coach from Stawell to Halls Gap, Phil, was very witty and gave us a fabulous commentary as we drove along to our final destination.
The fare was $3.60 per person for both trips, and everybody regarded it as a bargain for a great day out. We’ll be trying some other trips of this type in the future and I’m sure everybody will be very enthusiastic about any trips we find.
