The 2024 AFL season starts on Thursday March 7, 2024. So, if you want to be in it, you’d better get cracking.
We are continuing to use the ESPN footy tipping software to place tips. You can use it in your browser on your laptop (Windows or Mac), or you can use the app to use it on your phone or iPad.
If you were in the competition last year, your details and passwords etc will still be in the ESPN system. We had 18 participants last year and it would be great if we had more entries. The cost is the same as last year at $25, which works out to be about $1 per round. Tipping is for the Home and Away rounds. This year we have decided to offer one bonus point if you pick a perfect score, that is, 9 out of 9. Also, we have decided not to have Joker rounds this season.
For new entries please go to the ESPN footy tips site and search for “Probus” and “Ballarat”. There is a password, please contact me for this information. Then add yourself to the competition and pay the entry fee when convenient.
The prizes will be distributed as follows:-
- First Prize – 55% of the prize pool
- Second Prize – 30% of the prize pool
- Third Prize – 10% of the prize pool
- Wooden Spoon – 5% of the prize pool
The payments of $25 should be made direct to the Club’s bank account. Details are as follows:- BSB 633-000 Account Number 1430-19990. Please make sure to include your name and “Footy”
