Last Thursday, 7 members met up at Ballarat Station to catch the PTV coach to Hamilton. On the way we stopped at Smythesdale to pick up 3 more members, so a total of 10. The whole journey took about 2 and half hours. We got off the coach at the now defunct Hamilton Railway Station and walked up to Thomson’s Tavern for lunch.
After a very nice lunch we walked around to the Hamilton Gallery. There was a couple of exhibits which we checked out. Later, we had a walk around the city centre of Hamilton and later had afternoon tea and then a walk back to the Railway Station to catch the coach home.
Everybody liked Hamilton and we all enjoyed not having to drive.
Thanks to Esma and Wally for organising this, as well as our booking for lunch. They also got the information we needed to visit the Gallery. Visit the Club Photos page to see more pics
